Retrato realizado a mi amigo Toledano que poco a poco va perdiendo la visi贸n pero no su jovialidad y alegr铆a.
Mientras realizaba el dibujo ten铆a la presi贸n extra de terminarlo lo antes posible pu茅s el ma帽ana es incierto para todos pero m谩s para un amigo que lamentablemente se est谩 quedando ciego.
El miedo de que no pudiera ver su propio retrato era un pensamiento que me molestaba. Algunas veces dejamos para ma帽ana lo que podemos hacer hoy y cuando llega el ma帽ana, las personas viajan, la vida los cambia o fallecen, es decir, el ma帽ana es tarde. A pesar de los apagones y complicaciones de la vida diaria, comenc茅 a dibujar y gracias a Dios, pude concluir su retrato antes de que se extinga su luz. Gran satisfacci贸n sent铆 cuando vi la alegr铆a en su rostro al distinguir su retrato. Hace tiempo que no dibujaba a un amigo y experimentar nuevamente que mi obra ayuda a vivir, es saludable. Tambi茅n es gratificante ver el dibujo en un cuadro en la sala de su casa donde sus amigos y familiares lo aprecian cuando lo visitan.
Para realizar el retrato sobre una cartulina, utilic茅 l谩pices HB, 2B, 4B, un carboncillo y una goma de borrar adem谩s de utilizar el rev茅s de la tablilla para cambiar la textura del fondo oscuro del dibujo. Al dibujarlo, no solo trat茅 de capturar la apariencia f铆sica de Toledano sino tambi茅n su jovialidad, picard铆a y alegr铆a, a pesar de la p茅rdida gradual de visi贸n.
Tratar茅 de dibujar regularmente para mejorar mis creaciones.

Portrait of my friend Toledano, who is gradually losing his vision but not his joviality and joy.
While creating this drawing, I felt the added pressure to finish it as soon as possible, for tomorrow is uncertain for everyone鈥攂ut even more so for a friend who is sadly going blind.
The fear that he might not see his own portrait was a thought that haunted me. Sometimes we leave for tomorrow what we can do today, and when tomorrow arrives, people travel, life changes them, or they pass away鈥攊n other words, tomorrow is too late. Despite blackouts and the complications of daily life, I began to draw, and thanks to God, I managed to complete his portrait before his light faded. It was deeply satisfying to see the joy on his face as he recognized his portrait. It had been a long time since I last drew a friend, and experiencing once again how my work helps people live
feels healing. It is also rewarding to see the drawing framed in his living room, where his friends and family admire it when they visit.
To create this portrait on cardstock, I used HB, 2B, and 4B pencils, a charcoal stick, and an eraser. I also used the back of the drawing tablet to alter the texture of the dark background. While drawing, I aimed not only to capture Toledano鈥檚 physical appearance but also his joviality, mischievous spirit, and joy, despite his gradual loss of sight.
