Tell me, Was it Blood or Bond?
When:

Those nights were cold when the ceilings urinated
When the roof danced to the rhythm of the rain
As cold liquid snow buds hit our souls
My blanket couldn't sufficed
But you'd sacrifice yours for me

The days were hunger meant hunger
Days decorated with empty bellies and dried lips
Nights were our worms fed on our saliva
Times were a handful meant a 'houseful'
Days were grated sand were passed for meals

How did we sail through?
Was it bond or blood?

-This is a story of some hard times.
Portaryed in poetic lines addressed to a family member.
