I really like your initiative. I don't think I am a good fit for your curation team at the moment, but I'll keep you in the back of my head, in case my opinion on this changes in the following months.
I do understand that you want to diversify the current curation team, as it is mainly Cubans. And yes, I have thought before that it would be cool, to also have comment curation in the German community, for example. Especially, since I see that regularly the upvote power of your account sits at 100%, this wouldn't even harm other users upvotes. But the fact that your upvotes do currently favor English and Spanish comments is good. The community has a big share of users from Cuba and Venezuela. In the German community nobody's life is impacted from an 8 cent upvote. Also for Cubans this doesn't change their lives, but the impact is much more real there.
To be fair, I haven't looked through the comments you upvote in detail yet (maybe I should, to find comments, that I would also like to reward with my tiny upvote), but if my first thought is correct, that it is indeed mainly posts from Latin America and Nigeria (Spanish and English), that would be extremely great!
But also upvoting any comment of deeper meaning and effort is great, as it shows that Hive rewards quality engagement.
So I am wishing you the best of luck to find cool new curators!
Wait, let me share this post on Snaps – maybe someone will see the post there, that wouldn't have seen it otherwise. Yes, Snaps are rather short form content that often lacks deep meaning and quality, but that doesn't mean that there are no people strolling around Snaps that couldn't be a good fit.
Again: Best of luck!
