I Found The Perfect Alternative To Capcut For My Potato Laptop

I have a potato laptop that only has 12 GB of DDR3 RAM and a 3rd generation Intel i5 processor, but it doesn't have any dedicated GPU. I gave up on video editing because I cannot use Capcut and even the portable openshot because my old laptop cannot handle the video editing processes and my Windows 10 operating system stops responding, so I have to use task manager to kill the process all together.

However, recently I discovered a new video editing software from Microsoft known as Clipchamp. The best thing about Clipchamp is that it has a free version available, and it also handles all the processes through its cloud-based system, which means the operations are not handled on your PC.

• Clipchamp has an inbuilt feature called "Auto Captioning With AI" which is a game changer for me because it auto captions my videos without any issues, just like Capcut does, hence making it the perfect alternative to Capcut, which also happens to be free to use.
• Clipchamp has a user-friendly interface, and I think since it is a product from Microsoft, this was expected as this company has a great reputation for creating good software products.
• Clipchamp lets you upload your edited videos directly to platforms like YouTube; all you have to do is connect your YouTube channel via login inside your Clipchamp account in 1080p if you are using the free version.
• ClipChamp lets you utilize OneDrive cloud storage space, which gives it's free users 5GB of space by saving your edited videos over there as OneDrive is connected with Clipchamp as both products are from the same company, which is Microsoft.

Final Thoughts

I had almost given up on finding reliable and good-quality video editing software for my Windows 10 old laptop and asked on Reddit and all across the internet to find a viable replacement for Capcut that runs smoothly without any issues.

That is where I found out about ClipChamp from Microsoft, which is really a reliable video editing software that has all the features that you can find on Capcut. People usually recommend using Adobe video editing software products, but those are very expensive to use and have no free tier available.

However, since the introduction of Capcut, a lot of people were hooked on that video editing software, mostly because it was not only free to use but had that auto-captioning feature as well.

I was looking for a Capcut alternative for a long time until I stumbled upon ClipChamp from Microsoft, which made all the video editing and processing a smooth experience because it handles it all on their cloud-based system making it a much better video editing software than even Capcut.
