I'm a big fan of Jerusalem artichokes - I planted some on my old allotment in the UK many years ago and they are truly invincible (no gophers).

I'm going to make a point of visiting the old plot and seeing if there still there at some point!

Have you tried growing Oca? Not sure how fussy it is where you are but I remember it being as easy to grow as Sunchokes...
