Who doesn't love a list, I certainly do!
And in this post I am thinking about areas I can focus on of an evening working on a side hustle..
I think what used to be my main blog has become a side hustle of late, do to the reduced income I always new would happen, but i still enjoy working on it and so it's something I'm prepared to give a little of time too...
Priorities...
ONE: Reality Check/ Who gets a piece of you/ Life chances/ 'careers' advice...
NB remember I am much more interested IN other people's lives rather than living life!
Theme = looking critically at 'lifestyles' and careers... almost fact checking life styles... life changes
TWO: Updating blog work
THREE: Revision Videos/ Gen sociology Videos...
Because this links to ONE AND TWO....
- Theory and Methods first.
- Education second.
FOUR New Sociology content...
The tricky thing here is not to overflap too much with what's there... general areas include...
- Concepts... can't go wrong with posts on concepts, lord knows there are enough!
- More Theories, especially contemporary.
- More on Methods, especially quantitative, reading stats.
- Data literacy, links to the above....
- Critical Thinking/ research skills related to online life....
- Social Policy.
- Politics - a new area.
FIVE: Next Job/ Leveraging my main job....
This is how I set up my previous job..... I'm thinking about another advisory role...
- Financial advice...
- Consumer advice/ fraud and scam awareness
- Ombudsman
- Housing specialist....
- Fact checking.....
SIX: What about a research job...?
I still haven't used my Masters degree, really?!?
Final thoughts...
Just thinking out loud, no doubt I'll be back here in October not having done anything towards any of the above!
