Bit of a late start for me getting back into Discipline after Christmas (although did TBF start five days ago!) but I've finally got a New Year's Timetable I'm happy with going forwards into Spring...
(Yes, sorry, I am still a little obsessed with timetabling my life!)
So here's my new, actually quite different and slightly extended daily and weekly timetable, extended mainly because I've decided to join a running group and a kettle-bell class at the local gym that both meet in the early evenings, so I've decided to extend my early evening yoga and meditation sessions on the days I'm not doing these to keep my daily dinner times pushed back to 19.00, rather than nearer 17.30 which has traditionally been the case!
The running group also meets at 8.00 on a Sunday morning, something I'm well up for - got my first session with them this coming Sunday, looking forward to it a lot!
And I also figure I can fit in some meditation, a quick tidy of the flat (honestly it's most likely this means clearing up the previous night's dinner things!) and prepping the day - washing and packing for the co-working space basically).
Most days I'll be happily working away on my main blog in the mornings , occasionally I'll head the gym and maybe a QiGong session once a week, but mostly work.
I've got into a nice routine of just eating twice a day, breakfast/ lunch around 12.00 and then dinner now at its new time of 19.00.
Once I start my circuits work proper I may have to squeeze in an additional protein shake around 15.30 too! (Half way between breakfast/lunch and the evening meal.
This has been pushed back from where I usually have it starting at 16.00 and extended, to fit in with when the running group goes out mainly, so I thought I'd just use this an excuse to get into the habit of meditating and doing yoga for longer on those days I am not working out.
So I'll be eating later and then it's just chillin, I might challenge myself to tidy up some evenings, but that's a bit of a long shot!
Of course these times are flexible, I might work until 18.00 some days, I might start earlier or later than 9.00, but this is just to keep me focused and to make sure I've got a balanced life, in recent months I've been slacking on the work outs and especially the meditations!
It's nice to have a sense of balance back, now it's just a matter of sticking the timetable - I'll regard a 70% stick rate as success, for now, and may up that to 80% or more in future months, once it's a bit lighter and warmer, but I'm cutting myself some slack in these cold, dark months of winter!
