So it's taken me to the end of week one of 2023, or 2% in already, to get back to some kind of balance....
I had a day to myself on Saturday and managed to skip breakfast/ intermittent fast, stay off the booze (the night before and the Friday night) and use the Saturday relatively sensibly to eat well and catch up on a few chores....
I stuck to this relatively new timetable I put together, a simplified variation on an old one:
This wasn't the exact schedule I followed, but more or less - I started a bit later, I didn't workout (days are Friday and Sunday ATM not Saturday) and there was a bit more lazing around than suggested as Saturday isn't a work day, but I'm 'working' now at 17.40 about to cook something soon!
And just before chill time is always an easy time!
A morning walk and tidy
I started the morning with a walk - I figure I can't stand running on the coast, it's too windy, but walking is O.K as the wind isn't anywhere near as annoying, and it was windy at 7.15 when I set off this morning, it was a nice start to the day
Then I tidied up a of stuff, that took around 2 decent hours, I didn't even get annoyed at this...
I mean in fairness I should ditch all of those socks anyway I mean they are years old and have holes in, but I figure one more winter, if they can get me to April then I don't need to worry about buying winter socks again until September.
Still the same old tight git!
After tidying I made lunch/ breakfast - mackerel and salad in pittas, my go-to ATM, had a doze, sorted out my expenses for my taxes which was overdue, and then did a couple of Hive posts and 'Hive Duties' - actually quite a productive day TBF.
And with dinner time just around the corner I think I've maybe just about got time to complete the form for returning my Portuguese driving licence to the DVLA to get a UK one back again, that really is well overdue!
And then this evening... I might even attempt to read something.
All in I'm feeling that I've got some sense of balance back into my life, but it's taken a week to get over the XMAS binging!
Still, it's nice to have a life to knock out of balance these days!
