MEN SURROUNDING PACHYDERM. Arthur Robins. 1976. 39 x 42. Oils on Canvas. Long ago, in an ancient time and place, a group of men surrounded a large Pachyderm. The animal was startled and feared the men. But the men bore no weapons, nor did they have any ill intent. They only surrounded the animal to tease him a bit, and to play….which they did for a short time. Afterwards they left him in peace.
