How most of these just happen to be linked with Arsenal.

For Adebayor, he obviously went for the money and would have been an Arsenal great. However, he wasn't very prolific in front of goal too.

For RVP, I think he left because he felt he had a better chance of winning a trophy at Manchester United giving the state of Arsenal then. Imagine a striker of his caliber not winning a single title aside from an FA Cup and Community Shield in his first seasons... Would have been a blemish.

Campbell's was the most shocking. Even the media weren't expecting it. When I watched the documentary filmed by Arsenal on how it happened, it felt like a movie. The media were expecting a totally different player to be unveiled, whom they didn't really fancy, hence, just a few of them showed up and the rest is history.
