Hello Hive community and Splinterlands lovers, today I share a Brawl battle against Goblin Psychic and I will talk a little about the characteristics of this card, participating in this week's challenge, whoever is interested in participating, there is still time, follow the link on the challenge Link Challenge
WEEKLY BATTLE CHALLENGE:
THEME: Goblin Psychic
Edition: Chaos Legion
Rarity: Common
Element: Earth
Attack: Magic
Abilities: Tank Heal
STATS OF CARD
The card's weak point is its speed, in normal ruleset it is one of the last to attack, but it can be combined with monsters with Swiftness ability to increase speed, on the other hand its strong point is its ability to heal that depending on its evolution, it acquires new and important abilities, such as Affliction that prevents the opposing monster from healing itself, Silence that reduces the magic damage of opposing monsters and in the last evolution it acquires Dispel that cleans the positive effects of the monster it hits with its attack.
Monsters with Tank Heal skill are always important in the game, but to be useful in battle they must be well protected because at initial level only with 3 health points that can still be lowered due to a summoner's buff and even monsters with Weaken skill that reduce 1 health, makes Goblin Psychic an easy target to be destroyed, either by Snipe, Opportunity or even Sneak attacks depending on the battle position where it is placed.
For protection, it's usually common to use a Taunt ability monster together, so the opponent's attacks are concentrated only on the Taunt ability monster, but it varies from battle to battle if it's advantageous to combine the two cards, depends on the type of mana available for battle, of the available ruleset and splinters.
BATTLE RULES
For this battle we had maximum mana available and all monsters had Opportunity skill in which we could only use Splinters - Earth and Death
BATTLE
Being a battle in which all monsters had the skill Opportunity and with the maximum mana available, it was important to choose monsters with good speed, good attack and good health, and within the available Splinters I chose to choose Splinter Earth because I understood that I would take more important monsters to the battle.
My strategy was to choose monsters with strong attack and use Mycelic Slipspawn due to the Taunt ability to protect me from attacks in the first round, I didn't choose Goblin Psychic because I understood that it would be a useless card in this battle, even though the Taunt ability in the battle protected some attacks in the In the first round, Goblin Psychic would be the next target and unable to defend against strong attacks and therefore not even able to attack in battle, and consequently not use its Tank Heal ability.
Analyzing the monsters in the battle, it can be said that the opponent has monsters at higher levels and thus with their evolved attributes, but he focused a lot on defensive using 2 Tank Heal monsters, and several monsters with low average health points, forgetting maybe the combat would be with Opportunity skill, and therefore low health monsters would be priority targets, or believed that Mycelic Slipspawn could withstand many attacks using 2 Tank Heal monsters.
However I chose monsters with a lot of health points and with good attack, I couldn't miss Grund with Double Strike skill and Palidon Rakk with Bloodlust skill.
The opponent using a monster with Swiftness ability allowed his monsters to attack first destroying my Mycelic Slipspawn while later I also managed to destroy the opponent's Mycelic Slipspawn, making Quora Towershead the most difficult target to kill.
At the beginning of the second round I lost my Unicorn Mustang tank and missed two important attacks due to the opponent having his speed increased, but I still managed to get Palidon Rakk to increase his attributes.
In the third round I didn't lose any monsters and I missed an attack again, but I managed to destroy Goblin Psychic and Supply Runner, thus returning the speed of opposing monsters to normal, still having their best Quora card, with Melee and Magic attack in addition to having super Heal and Bloodlust abilities is a hard card to destroy.
Starting the fourth round Quora destroys Nectar Queen and thus increases its attributes becoming a super card, but due to my Grund attacking twice it manages to take 6 health points from Quora and then Palidon Rakk ends up with Quora in a fantastic move leaves the arena at super card, allowing you to win the battle because then the opponent's monster having Ranged attack could not attack from the first position.
Big battle, big win, one crucial move eliminated Quora and allowed to win the battle
