Yes bro, that is perfectly said. It never about rigid, or inability of emotions, but adapting to environments we been to, taking things just as we see them, and not allowing anything to stop us in any way.

I think I had that view in my child age, when I was in primary school. A certain classmate of mine was good in receiving strokes of canes, and no matter the number’s, he never let those tears out, or frown his face, but I and the rest of the students did.

And we normally thought he was strengthened than us, it wasn’t, we are either. For him, he didn’t want people to laugh at him, and that was making him not to cry, but we were capable of adapting, knowing it hurt, and we cry it out, and forgetting about that scenario the next moment.

In life, it is better to tell the next person that it is hurt, when it’s hurt, than dying in silence, just for showing strength.

Yet, strength lies in the courage or knowing that it is what it is, and looking for a way out, and accepting to others opinions when necessary.
