I am not barracking for any imperialist state.
You certainly sound like a big fan of Russia.
I do not think Russia is the USSR, either in ideology or power; but neither is it merely a gas station with nukes.
I shouldn't have used that soundbite of a phrase due to the waste of time it caused by having us go back and forth on its meaning.
I am barracking for decentralisation, sound money, limited government, freedom and real choices for the people of the world.
The why are you not against Russia's genocidal attack on Ukraine, a country MUCH more decentralized than Russia?
But for that to happen the current global hegemon must be brought back to size with much smaller government and limited in action to its own territory as its Founding Fathers intended.
I'm not American and neither are you. Why should we care about what the Founding Fathers wrote? If the influence of the US and its allies is greatly diminished, it does not spell a freer world. It means that China will most likely grow its influence significantly. China is all about centralizing power to the CCP. For Eastern Europe, it means mortal danger. Ukraine and the Ukrainian people are fighting for their lives at the moment.
It literally means things like this (a Wagner mercenary talks about eliminating civilians in the town of Soledar, including a five-year-old girl) :
Despite the enormous military losses Russia has suffered, it can eventually (in a decade or so) rebuild its military capacity unless the sanctions are kept in place.
While you talk about Russian decay outside Moscow and this may be true, I have seen American decay all over that country, including, indeed at worst, in its capital. Only its rural areas are still civilisationally strong.
I've been to Russia many times and seen the decay up close. The rural areas are losing population fast.
US patrols of the world's oceans are necessary for America, Europe and Asia to be connected by trade. They are not necessary for land based trade between Russia, China, India, Asia, Africa and Europe. This is where new trade routes, outside US influence are being built. US Naval power advantages only itself and its European and Pacific vassal states.
If you look at trade between BRICS countries, there is not much land-based trade between China and India. There can't be because of the lack of infrastructure and the terrain. Brazil and South Africa are separated by oceans from the rest. In fact, all of the BRICS countries have higher volumes of trade between each of them and the EU and the US than each other (except for China and Brazil). Shipping is much cheaper than any other way to move goods over long distances.
A Eurasian continent united against the USA is always what it has rightly feared. That's why it fought the Nazis and the Communists - not because of any moral superiority.
Only the UK showed moral superiority by refusing Hitler's generous offer of a continued British Empire under German hegemony; instead handing the keys to Empire to the US.
An Eurasian continent united is a pipe dream unless it is realized through the force of arms. The US has strategic interests in Europe. Other reasons for it to have European countries as allies are them belonging to the same broader civilization, having similar values and even kinship.
Russian propaganda often calls America's European allies vassals. This is completely wrong. NATO requires unanimity and many times in its history, individual member states have kept new members from joining for years by setting their own requirements.
Ironically American strategic imperial over-reach in Ukraine and elsewhere has created what seemed impossible - strategic and operational cooperation between the major Eurasian powers with the support of smaller ones.
The Ukrainian ethnicity has existed longer than the United States. Ukrainians are the descendants of Cossacks who have in time turned into an ethnic group. Ukrainian culture is profoundly different from Russian in how they relate to centralized power. The Russian mindset is very, very pro-centralization. There are long-standing historical reasons for that and that mindset affects the organization of Russian society at all levels. Russian society is very top-down where there is little room for grassroots initiative or individual responsibility. These things are actively discouraged. It is the very antithesis of the values you say you are for. In contrast, Ukrainians are deeply skeptical of all centralized power. The word cossack literally means free man. Ukrainians have a powerful desire to free themselves from the Russian yoke. The Ukrainian struggle for sovereignty is not some ill-conceived American plot.
There is no Eurasian unity against the US. First of all, the EU has come together and has put in place unprecedented sanctions against Russia. (Europe is part of Eurasia.) China looks at Russia as its useful idiot to distract the West and the Ukraine war as a test case to gauge the reaction of the world to a potential invasion or blockade of Taiwan. China has its own beef with Russia after having to cede vast tracts of territory in Outer Manchuria over a century ago. Above all, China exports goods mainly to the West and is wary of sanctions. India and China are rivals.
