For our limited minds it is difficult to understand that when we decide to delight in the Lord, and forget all the restlessness of our lives, He works. Doing much more than we expected. But this is how the kingdom of God is lived.
Every time we choose to look at the size of our problems, forgetting the Power and Sovereign of our God, we are wasting the favor of the one whose throne will never move. But on the contrary, every time we trust in his kindness and decide to let go of the matter that torments us, in a short time He works by showing us the smallness of what for Him was always insignificant.
God honors those who honor him, and he enjoys exalting those who trust in Him and recognize His greatness. Every time we recognize the Power, Sovereignty, and Majesty of our God we activate favor of heaven by descending into our lives. Every time we stand firm in spite of situations relying on our God, He sends power from on high to accommodate what was beyond our reach, but again, what activates this is believing in the Sovereign Power of our God. Our God is pleased that we trust Him and surprise Him in the way we present our petitions, honoring Him by recognizing His Power.
The way we should approach our God is with reverence, love and honoring him. As the centurion did to him, he did not feel worthy of Jesus going to his house, he also recognized that everything that is visible and not visible is under his authority, begging him to just say a word so that his servant would be healed. That my brother, is the kingdom of God on earth. So much so that our God had nothing left to say: Not even in Israel have I found so much faith.
"The centurion answered and said: Lord, I am not worthy to enter under my roof; just say the word, and my servant will heal. Because I am also a man under authority, and I have soldiers under my command; and I say to this one: Go, and go; and to the other: Come, and come; and to my servant: Do this, and do it. When Jesus heard it, he marveled and said to those who followed him, "Truly, I say to you, I have not found so much faith even in Israel."
Matthew 8: 8-10
I invite you to choose today to delight in the Lord and only bless him. Recognize everything He has done in your life, praise Him for what He is and for the history they have together, and what you saw as a problem will take its full size.
Recognize your Dominion, Power, Sovereignty and Authority above all, be delighted in all that allows you to live, and certainly He will grant the requests of your heart.
"Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will grant you the requests of your heart."
Psalm 37: 4 (Reina-Valera 1960)
