Can you please explain the averages in the powerup/powerdown numbers? It's not matching what I get when I take an average in LibreOffice or in awk.... What am I missing? Here's what I get when I plug the

RE: How Vote Incentivization Monopolizes Delegated Proof of Stake
Another thought is that the existence of layer 2 tokens like steem-engine tokens & SMTs changes the analysis, too. If a single post can be flagged or ignored under one curation regime, but highly rewarded

Agreed. The trick lies in persuading a sufficient portion of voters that voting to attract or retain eyeballs can be far more valuable than a nominal increase in daily rewards of declining value. And yes,

Just a nitpick, but I disagree that the retaliation votes are harmless. I'm fairly certain that the flag wars drive a number of people away from the platform, and they are also used to create FUD that

This is a fair point: Do you think Youtube.com doesn't have circle jerks? I think one of the most popular video genres is probably "how to monetize your youtube video", and another is "Youtube

It seems like this "second price auction" would be a wonderful thing to try in a tribe or SMT. Come to think of it, vote negation could also just be applied to a tribe or SMT as well. Agreed.

RE: Proof-reading....
Lucky that no one reads my STEEM posts! lol. Not quite no one. I hate proof-reading, too. I'm never satisfied, so I often wind up spending 3 or 4 times (or more) as long proof-reading as writing.
