This is the first day of Ramadan and as like many, we are fasting!
It will be a totally different experience for the whole Muslim world this time. Ramadan is attached with so different cultural and additional things, we will miss them now. From food habit to hospitality, from performing prayers to daily life activity there will be a huge impact for this Coronavirus issue.
But this Ramadan comes to us with many opportunities. It's a great opportunity for a believer to become close to the creator. And especially in this situation where we became so helpless, this month became a blessing to us. I hope people will take this month as an opportunity to purify their heart, to ask forgiveness, to show love and support and to reconnect with creator.
If you are a believer, you must take this opportunity!
For me, it became already hard to live like this. Doing all the house chores, taking care of my son 24/7, and doing my own work taking away all my time. I hope fasting will make everything easy.
This time, I'm more focused on spirituality than spending more time on our traditional cultural things. Like food making. I don't usually do a heavy Ifter (evening breakfast during fasting) and I hope this time it will be more simple.
There's another thought, people are saying the Ramadan/fasting will reduce our immune system and it's better to respond to the fasting this time. But I don't believe that. Because if anyone knows our religion will understand that this basic ritual can't be done at any other time. Also, there is so much research on how intermittent fasting can help boost our system. So I believe this month of fasting will help us more to fight with coronavirus.
Not only there are health benefits of intermittent fasting but there are several mental benefits also. Like it helps us concentrate, bring mental clarity, boost our brain energy ie. And we can't ignore how it helps to control weight, diabetics, and burning harmful fat. So, there's no way we will not fast!
I will definitely miss all the food, all the rituals we used to do during Ramadan. But let's think it's an 'examination' from our creator to see how we are doing and what we are doing.
Give more. Help more. Stay Home and Stay Safe.
Happy Ramadan to all of you!
THANKS FOR YOUR LOVE AND SUPPORT!
Much Love
I had my University degree in 'Public Administration' and later did my Post Graduation in 'Human Resource Management'. I also gathered experience working with HR in a multinational Organization. Besides that and most importantly; I'm a life & nature enthusiast, I love to learn human psychology, I'm a 'Book worm' and very introvert but also love to travel. I'm trying to live mindfully and sure, I'm a positive learner.
