Many years ago, when I was in middle school I had a beautiful cross bag. That was one of my favorites, I used to carry that bad occasionally. So, it was my year-end exam, I was super excited and decided to put some more spice to my excitement and joy by carrying the bag that day. We had to put off our bags outside the exam hall and after exam, we used to pick them up.

I came back from the hall but couldn't find my favorite bag anymore. Someone took it, stole it. I was so heartbroken, it seems like I still can remember how I felt.

So, this is just a story of my life. It may not make any sense to you, obviously. I forgot about that bag long ago. Recently, while in a super shop I found a similar kind of bag and it reminded me about my bag and this whole story. I'm telling this today because I surprisingly found I feel nothing for the person who took my bag that day but sorry!

Yeah, finally I learned to forgive!!

Do you think it came automatically? Nope. I had to make many intentional efforts, change the way I think to come to this position. And it's not about that bag or anything smaller. I'm noticing for many months that I can take myself off from ' thinking anything negative, saying anything bad about someone who did wrong to me'.

Believe me, it was hard to learn and there is still much room to learn more and improve myself. But when life reminds me of that story and I feel no revenge, no bad words; it surprises me.

Life is like a floating candle. We have to be conscious to keep the flame while going through ups, downs, and face all the winds. The understanding of not holding back emotions is a big choice on this path. We should know when we have to choose forgiveness and move on.

Making the continuous effort to come to a position to 'not hold back, forgive and move on' is hard but making this choice is not. You always know, what is helping you and what is not. Just go with the first one and you will see positive changes in your life too.
