When I think of beautiful and scenic places, Maldives definitely ranks among one of the top places that I have visited.
I travelled to Maldives in 2012, and even though it was an expensive trip for 4 days and 3 nights, it was something on my bucket list and I saved up for the trip! Being a city dweller, I don't get to see huge oceans or crystal clear waters, so I thought it would be exciting to see what Maldives had to offer. Well, I can say that it was definitely worth every single cent because it was really a paradise!

I went island hopping and snorkelling too! It took a while to get used to the snorkelling device but it was a fun experience because the waters were even better and clearer further out!
Look how clear the waters were! There were certain parts that the waters were very shallow and we could just wade in them.
Then we came to a strip of sand and we disembarked the boat to take some photos and enjoy the sunshine! Got a lot of nice photos over there!

And we were off again, back to our island resort! Blue skies and blue waters!
Overall, it was definitely an once in a lifetime experience for me! Over the 4 days, I got to enjoy the beautiful sights and sounds on the island, engaged in fun activities like snorkelling and even visited some of their local towns. And of course, the meals were included in the package so I was never hungry with multiple meals in a day.
If you are into scenic places or just looking for a romantic getaway, Maldives is definitely one of the places I would recommend!
