Today I will show you the famous Santuario Del Santo Cristo De La Grita, located in La Grita, Táchira State - Venezuela.
Allí arriba en el mapa podrán ver la ruta seguida desde el parador turístico "Páramo El Zumbador" y a lo largo de la carretera Trasandina, para llegar hasta el Santuario.
En el camino se deleitarán con las verdes montañas y los increíbles paisajes, agradezco a la vida por poder recorrer estos parajes.
Up there on the map you can see the route followed from the tourist stop "Paramo El Zumbador" and along the Trasandina road, to get to the Sanctuary.
On the way you will be delighted with the green mountains and the incredible landscapes, I thank life for being able to go through these places.
Al llegar al Santuario, observé que contaba con grandes espacios, cuenta con un amplio estacionamiento y un gran patio anterior al templo. Todo este espacio se diseñó con el fin de recibir a miles de Peregrinos los días cercanos al 6 de agosto de cada año, fecha en la que se conmemora al Santo Cristo de La Grita.
When I arrived at the Sanctuary, I observed that it had large spaces, a large parking lot and a large patio before the temple. All this space was designed with the purpose of receiving thousands of pilgrims on the days close to August 6th of each year, date in which the Holy Christ of La Grita is commemorated.
A nivel del templo se encuentra un gran espacio abierto, donde se erige una estructura que sostiene una campana en el tope superior, también había una estatua en honor al Libertador Simón Bolívar.
At the level of the temple there is a large open space, where there is a structure that holds a bell at the top, there was also a statue in honor of the Liberator Simón Bolívar.
Algo que también llama la atención es un gran área techada, que se encuentra próxima al templo, a sus lados se encuentra adornada con unos increíbles vitrales que representan escenas religiosas, la estructura es metálica y el piso es de granito pulido.
Something that also calls the attention is a large roofed area, which is next to the temple, on its sides is adorned with incredible stained glass windows depicting religious scenes, the structure is metal and the floor is polished granite.
Finalmente llegamos al templo o a la iglesia del Santuario en honor al Santo Cristo. Es una iglesia moderna, cuenta con una fachada colorida y un poco minimalista, podemos encontrar amplios paneles de vidrio en el frente y en los laterales, en el interior también observaremos vitrales y decoraciones con granito y mármol.
Finally we arrive at the temple or church of the Sanctuary in honor of the Holy Christ. It is a modern church, it has a colorful and minimalist facade, we can find large glass panels on the front and sides, inside we will also observe stained glass windows and decorations with granite and marble.
