Hi darling Hivers
As always I look forward to @ladiesofhive Weekly contests because I can always relate to them. Before I begin let me invite my sweet ladies
@joydukeson and
@tosanscott to join the
@ladiesofhive and this contest #71. When I read this one I was super excited.
So the question for this week i chose is:
Show one or more photos of your hobbies and tell us the story! It can be a photo (or video) of you actually doing the hobby, or showing the results of the hobby. Photos can be of jewelry you have made, something you have kitted or sewn, your musical instrument, something you have baked, a scrapbook you have made, etc.

When I was in junior secondary school, I used to take on the home economics class, it was a junior baking and pastry class and I loved it. I always looked forward to every practical and my mum knew how much I loved these practical, she was Always so supportive with buying me what ever I needed for them.

As I got into the senior secondary, you guessed right, I definitely took on the food and nutrition class, there we learnt semi-advanced level of baking and cooking.
My food and nutrition teacher still remains one person that made me fall in love with baking and cooking. Everytime we had a practical she would do the baking and mixing examples so effortlessly and her pastries and foods always came out perfect, I was in awe.

I remember baking my 18th year birthday cake myself, it wasn’t perfect but you needed to see how proud I was of it, I wish I had the pictures to show. But it has been too long.
Baking school days
When I finished acquiring my degree, I knew exactly what I wanted to do and that was getting an advance knowledge of baking. I registered for a six months baking training course in a baking academy and when I finished training, the sky was my starting point.

Now baking is my happy place, my focus therapy, I find myself wanting to always try new recipes or bake new things.

The best part of it all is that I turned my hobby into a Business and now other people pay to buy, eat and appreciate my pastries and that makes me the happiest girl ever.
Baking indeed has been my hobby right from time and it still is. I would happily wake up from my sleep to bake anything you ask me to. It is another way i relax my nerves when I am stressed or tensed too. I love that my hands can make sweet yummy things and I am proud of it
I hope you enjoyed this post
