Today when I was going through the crypto news updates, I found such good news that I thought of sharing here. These days India is still one of the countries where the chaotic situation is going on and as a crypto user, I try to keep myself updated because this is required and even important to see how things are unfolding. There are many media channels that I follow to get reliable crypto updates and I believe that this helps us to plan things better and even needed to keep ourselves updated.
So the good news that I want to share through this post is about Gucci and it's a well-known luxurious brand. Gucci is a global leading brand and it has its presence globally. Gucci is going to start accepting crypto as payment soon and this will be implemented first in the US later this will be expanded to other countries. I find this newsworthy to share because it's a big brand and because of its global presence we expect more positive sentiments in the crypto space and that's not all because some other brands can also follow the same. Crypto is one of the segments where trends are followed which means, any new thing is followed and that brings more people and action which is a plus.
Gucci has rolled out the crypto payment mechanism at its flagship stores in the U.S., including Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles, Wooster Street in New York, and in Las Vegas, with plans to expand the service to its directly-operated North America stores in the near future.
This is a good start I believe because if this trend is followed by other brands then just imagine how many people will become part of crypto just because they are the user of these brands. Getting an increase in the crypto space is something that we all want because having more people and more use cases in real life will increase the demand and that will result in a price spike. The entry of such a brand shows that the world is watching crypto closely because it's not possible to take such a decision overnight and I am sure that they must have been tracking the crypto for quite some time.
If we look on a bigger picture then we can observe that now more big companies and brands are trying to make crypto part of their payment system or even as an asset in the balance sheet. No matter what reason they follow but they are trying to be part of this revolution because belief in the ecosystem which is growing rapidly.
I have seen many Gucci outlets here in India and hopefully, they will provide this option here as well in the future. I know that the current situation is not favorable but I am optimistic that things will not remain the same for long and once there is a change then we would be able to see a lot all of a sudden and we have seen it before as well. I see this as a good move by Gucci and this will not just help them to be part of the innovation and digital revolution but it will also help them develop an infra where payment mechanism will not just be open, decentralized but also backed by high-end technology.
