Yours truly acting silly
My name has changed over the years. At first I was called Joanna but when I was old enough to see my birth certificate it was written as Joanne. Besides those two names, I have been called Jo, Red, Rusty and sometimes other names I will not mention. :)
My mother told me she had debated between Joanna and Jacqueline. I like my name and would also be happy with the french sounding name of Jacqueline.
It was a wild red plaid dressing robe that was on sale. When I put it on first thing in the morning, the cats looked at me like I was a crazy stranger. Usually my clothing is more subdued.
Hubby thought it looked like a lumberjack’s attire and we had a good laugh. I’m happy it was on sale at half price as I didn’t get a good reaction from the cats or Hubby when I modelled it. 😂
This is a difficult one as there are so many people here that I would love to have dinner with. There is @justclickindiva for we share a special bond of being in the same club of mothers who have lost children.
@deerjay and
@melinda010100 have been my good friends from the start of my Steemit journey along with my Aussie chums
@trudeehunter and
@angiemitchell. Maybe throw a couple men in the mix like Cowboy
@janton and Sir Stephen
@papiloncharty,
Heck, lets have a big party and invite everyone. 🥂
With being on Steemit and starting to crochet again toques (hats) for winter wear, I have neglected my reading of books but I now have a different toque to wear every day of the cold weather.:)
Getting back to the subject of books, the last one I read was “The Years Before Anne.” It’s an early biography of the author, Lucy Maud Montgomery, of ‘Anne Of Green Gables.’ I’ve read a lot of her biographies from when she lived on the Island and later in life married a minister. He later turned out to have a disorder called religious melancholia and went into frenzied states where he thought he was one of the dammed.
I’m not much into travelling these days with the news of being stuck on a quarantined cruise ship and the corona virus infecting people, the busy larger airports and the resurgence of bed bugs in hotel rooms.
If I had to choice I would return to Ireland to see my cousins again. I was there about 10 years ago, travelling with my sister and a brother. We had a marvellous time and even stopped in England to break bread with another cousin.
I have a CD player under the kitchen counter and if I’m working in the kitchen I have it blasting away.
I have studied Astrology and find it fastenating as an indicator of human nature. ‘As above so below’ sounds right to me.
Here’s what I found out about myself using the Zodiac.
Secretive Scorpio is my Sun sign ruled by Mars and Pluto with the sign of the warrior, Mars, and Mercury (communication) very close. This means I sometimes speak quickly without worrying about the consequences. When I was born the Full Moon was in stubborn Taurus, Venus in Sagittarius, Jupiter in Virgo, Neptune in Libra.
Treat me right and I will stick by you through thick and thin. Treat me badly and you may eventually feel my sting.
I would love to speak French fluently as Canada is a bilingual country. I took written French in school but never learned to speak it. Like a lot of other things, if you don’t use it you lose it.
I’m not a big drinker but I could handle a couple rum and coke drinks.
That would be with Hubby this morning.I asked him if the coffee was ready. He always brews it first thing.
Here are the ten silly questions if you want to participate.
