What does one do on a cloudy miserable day with intermittent rain? Many folks, retired or with the day off work, jump in their vehicle and make a trip to town.
My trip with Hubby was not to town but to the city of Charlottetown through the back roads.

There are plenty of open fields that were harvested in the fall and now ploughed waiting for a new crop to be planted in the spring.
The red soil of the Island, from vehicle tires, can be seen on the pavement of the road.
Although it is early January, I am surprised there has been no snow and the temperature is above freezing.
Usually, by this time of year, the ground would be covered with the white stuff and I would be wearing extra clothing to ward off the cold.
