My entry to melinda010100@melinda010100’s #featheredfriends community is a dove that visits the back yard and is not pleased to share the bird seeds with the chipmunk.

The lovely dove on the back deck checking out the scenery.

The dove is looking to see if there are any seeds on the lawn. I put out seeds everyday for the birds and chipmunk.

The dove was not impressed with Chippy filling his face with the seeds.

Chippy doesn’t care and ignores the evil eye the dove is giving him. At one point the normally gentle dove raised his wings to try and drive Chippy away. In retaliation Chippy made a quick motion towards the dove. Both stood their ground.

Chippy continues filling his mouth and finally has a face full and leaves the rest of the seeds for the dove.

The chipmunk carries extra seeds in his mouth as shown here and will take it back to his home to save for later.

This is how the chipmunk’s cheek looks normally.

I think at the end of the day, the strange bedfellows, the dove and the chipmunk, ate enough seeds to keep them satisfied for the day.
