The theme for Round 98
SHOW ME A PICTURE OF BIRD
FOOD IN THE BEAK
The brown head cowbird with seeds in his mouth.
He was a feathered visitor stopping by in the summertime and stayed about a week, hanging around the backyard, then on to greener pastures.
The cowbird didn’t seem to bother the blue jay as they peacefully shared the bird seeds.
Now the dove is another matter. He is not as sociable when eating and gives the blue jays the evil eye.
Always plenty of the pretty blue jays around. They will squabble amongst themselves but come together regularly to the backyard for food.
In wintertime there could be as many as twenty jays stop by every morning. I do like to see them.
I give them leftovers, seeds, cat food and peanuts. They will hang around and try to steal peanuts from the squirrel.
The cute little chickadee likes peanuts and cashews too.
Jumping for joy after eating a few peanuts.
