My entry to Feathered Friends hosted by the kind and generous @melinda010100. Check her post Here for more info.
The last few days folks in my area have been knee-deep in snow. Our rural mailbox has been knocked over by the plow that clears the highway and is covered in snow. January is a month of unexpected winter weather here on the Canadian East Coast.
No matter what the weather, the Blue Jays come by every morning to check for food.
This one is a bit wind blown with the snow twirling around and ruffling his feathers.
Hubby cleared the snow off the back deck earlier. It is quickly blowing back in but the birds were able to get their food.
The snow has to be a good foot or more deep. You can see the height of the snow on the small tree behind the Blue Jay.
I’m not going to complain about a bit of snow with all the heartbreaking disasters happening around the world. Not only the fires and earthquakes but Wednesday’s crash of a Boeing 737 Ukrainian plane over Iran, killing all 176 people. 63 Canadians were on the plane, many being students at universities here.
I like to close on a positive note with a call for prayers and blessings to be sent out for world peace, compassion and help in the worldwide disasters.
Just as the faithful Sun disperses the dark of night
May my imagination overcome death and disasters
With new hope for the future.
