Happy Halloween Everyone!
May you be visited this Hallow’s Eve by many spooky spirits either from this world or the veiled one.
Halloween is one of my favourite holidays. There’s pleasant memories from childhood of dressing up in an old bed sheet or homemade costume to go trick or treating.
Now I love the idea of maybe being visited and entertained by a deceased relative or previous pet. Yes, animals many come through the the veil tonight.
Photo I took and edited of the fire in the wood stove. Looks like some spirits coming through-Boo!
I took this photo a few years ago of Red and Sunday on Halloween night. By the look in Red’s eyes, he has been demonized by a wayward spirit.
The camera flash made his eyes look that way....maybe.:)
Having a cat in the house will keep any scary spirit busy and leave the rest of the household alone.
Today’s Halloween was derived from the pagan festival of Samhain celebrated by the ancient Celts. Today is know as All Souls’ Day by some religions.
In the Celtic folklore, Halloween is the one time of the year that the door to the invisible/ veiled dimension is opened and left unguarded so the spirits can come into our world.
The guardian of the veiled underworld will step aside until midnight tonight. At this time good or evil the spirits are free to come through to roam the earth and play havoc if they want. Hopefully they have to return to the veiled world when the clock strikes midnight.
Dress in costume and wear a mask so no evil spirit will recognize you.
Halloween is not celebrated and decorated as much as Christmas but I see a lot of fun displays.
Make sure you warmly welcome and give a treat to anyone coming to your door this Hallowed Eve. It may be a spirit dressed in costume and you don’t want to anger them.
