I'm not going to tell you what color the lizard will be. I can say it won't be brown!

I was up before 5am today and started working on my new mixed media piece. The lizard will be done in colored pencil, the background watercolor, outlined in pen and ink. This piece is coming together fast but I need a nap. See you all on the other side of today.

Oh I forgot, I covered the lizard in masking fluid. A type of liquid glue that is easy to remove once no longer needed. But that also depends on the quality of paper and the glue. If one buys cheap paper and glue one can rip up the surface of the paper and have to start all over. Last sentence was from hard won experience. Masking fluid offers peace of mind when working on the background and I don't have to worry about dripping paint all over my subject.

I was browsing through my home stream here on Steemit a week ago and saw this amazing photograph catching the details of lizard scales. I went into bliss, yeah I am weird that way, I love details, especially if they have to do with patterns. I love drawing details, I leave time and everyday thoughts and just draw, like I am the pen and paper.
