Last October 2019 a friend asked me to paint a pair of black swans for her. I’m was and still am practicing how to capture water to paper and I found painting reflections and highlights on the waters surface a lot of fun. I picked the brown foreground and background because it was fall and I like how blueish black and orange brown kinda pop together. Although this was a practice piece I gave it to my friend, she loved it.
I kept thinking of the black swan event whilst painting. Here is a quote from “Wiki”
An event that comes as a surprise, has a major effect, and is often inappropriately rationalised after the fact with the benefit of hindsight.
