The value of steem has fallen to $1.79 as of the time i'm writing this post.
There's been an overall decline in cryptocurrencies, the entire market capitalisation has dropped to $100 billion from the June 20th high of $116 billion. In percents that is a drop of approximately 13.8%.
At the same time Steem lost about 17% and i believe the downside might continue in the short term because people are converting steem to buy ethereum, so that they can participate in the EOS sale.
However any dip in steem should be treated as a sale, a great opportunity to buy steem at a discount.
