Instructions
1- Prepare the Base:
- Start by pouring 2 dl of water into a stainless steel saucepan.
- Add 1 1/2 dl of Pirkka pre-cooked broken barley groats to the saucepan.
2- Cook the Barley:
- Place the saucepan on an Electrolux induction cooktop and bring the mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally.
- Continue cooking until the water is largely absorbed by the groats.
3- Add Milk and Cook:
- Carefully add 1 liter of Valio full-fat milk to the saucepan.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently with a stirring spoon or spatula, until the porridge reaches a creamy and thickened consistency.
4- Season the Porridge:
- Season the porridge with a small sprinkle of sugar and 3/4 tsp of salt. Stir thoroughly to blend the flavors.
5- Finishing Touch:
- Remove the saucepan from the heat once the desired consistency and flavor are achieved.
- Serve the porridge warm in a white ceramic bowl.
6- Add Toppings:
- Generously top the porridge with Valio blueberry sauce/mustikkakeitto before serving.
