When my heart is in deep sorrow
And my mind in great despair
When it feels like no tomorrow
And there's no more joy to spare
To whom can this madman turn
If no one would dare to listen
When people focus on what they earn
And seek for their own enjoyment
I indulge myself in transient things
For my soul is easily deceived by its cliche
But it just made the darkness darker
And left me to decay
No intellect can answer a question
When it wells up from a sorrowful heart
No worldview can cheer up a creature
When he seeks the truth that exceeds the smart
And when I'm lying in my bed
