Ability for open flashlight application to stay on while minimized

Components

A simple, open source flashlight is an android flashlight(torch) application.
I realized that the application doesn't have the ability to stay on if minimized, unlike other flashlight applications.

Proposal

I suggest that the developers of open flashlight application should improve the application so it could stay on even if it has been minimized. It user might want the flashlight to stay on while he/she is doing something else with the same device in the dark.

The image above shows the inside of the application.
The flashlight goes off when it's minimized or if the device screen light goes off.

Benefits

The users of this application will benefit a lot if my suggestion is implemented because the above mentioned problem has been a source of worry. It users will be able to do other things with the device while the flashlight is still on, and open flashlight application would be compared with other flashlight applications.
