This set of wooded trails is a beautiful walk despite the jaded history associated with the location. There is rarely anyone else on the trails, and the only thing other than nature you might hear would be the soft hum of a boat on the river.
The landscape is beautiful and the trail goes down to the river in several spots, including one spot off the bluff where you can jump into the river if you’d like. I visit here often. A few of the spots off the trail are ideal for camping but if nothing else, a short hike is worth the trip if you’re in the area.
