Sometimes, you don't need a big plan to create a good memory. All you need is a little time with the people who matter to you who not just matter but matter a lot.

I went to Skymall in Sangotedo with my wife The Last House. It was a chance for us to step away from our normal routine, spend time together, and enjoy a movie.

But beyond the cinema experience, the story gave me something to think about.

What happens when the place you call home becomes the only place you can stay, whether you like it or not?

That is one of the main ideas behind The Last House.

The story follows a family that suddenly finds itself trapped inside its own home. They cannot leave, and as time passes, getting food, staying safe, and keeping the family together become serious challenges. What should be a place of comfort turns into a place of fear and uncertainty. In all I see the importance of family bond

One thing I found interesting about this kind of story is how quickly normal life can change. We often plan our days as if tomorrow is guaranteed to go the way we expect. We wake up, go to work, take care of our families, make plans, and worry about small things. Then something unexpected happens, and the things we once took for granted suddenly become the things we need most.

The first lesson I took from the story is that family is more than living under the same roof.

A family can share a house and still struggle to understand one another. Real togetherness shows when people face a difficult situation. It is easy to be patient when everything is going well. The real test comes when people are tired, afraid, confused, or running out of options.

The second lesson is about preparation.

Many of us prepare for the things we expect, but life does not always give us a warning before things change. The movie raises useful questions about food, water, safety, and the choices people make when their usual way of life is no longer possible.

Of course, it is a horror and thriller movie, so some parts are made for entertainment. Not every event should be treated as something that could happen exactly the same way in real life. Still, the basic idea makes you think about how much we depend on the comfort and security of our everyday lives.

Another thing worth thinking about is how people respond to fear. When people are scared, they do not always make the best decisions. Sometimes, fear makes them selfish. At other times, it pushes them to protect the people they love. The difference often comes down to how they handle pressure and whether they are willing to think beyond themselves.

For me, this is what makes a movie worth discussing after the screen goes dark. It is not only about the strange things happening on screen. It is also about the questions the story leaves in your mind.

Was the movie perfect? I would not say that every idea in a film like this has to work for every viewer. Some people may enjoy the suspense more than others, while some may want clearer answers to the questions raised by the story. But the idea of a family being forced to survive together gives the film something worth discussing.

Going to Skymall in Sangotedo with my wife made the experience more than just watching a movie alone. It was family time, and that matters to me just as much as the film itself.

Sometimes, the best part of an outing is not whether the movie was the best one you have ever seen. It is having a reason to leave the house, share an experience, and create another memory with your family.

My takeaway from The Last House is simple: we cannot control everything that happens around us, but we can pay attention to how we prepare, how we treat the people close to us, and how we respond when life does not go according to plan.

And perhaps that is one good reason to watch a film like this: not just to be entertained, but to have something meaningful to think about afterward. That family means a lot. The bond must not break else, every other thing scatters

Have you watched The Last House? What would you do if your family suddenly found itself in a situation where leaving home was no longer an option? I would love to read your thoughts in the comments. Below is the trailer from youtube
