At what point do you think you have your life figured out, people use some certain achievements to measure their level of success, some use educational achievements, some use marriage, some use kids and some use financial achievements. But most times people appreciate their achievements using financial achievements. If you have attained some certain financial status you can boldly feel successful, then you can start looking for additional achievements like getting married, having kids and raising kids. But it doesn’t stop there, does it? As we grow and progress in life we are constantly looking for ways to excel in life, at our humble days, we see those moments as the toughest moments of our lives. We work so hard everyday in our lives to elevate our lives, to the extent that when our lives get better and elevated we don’t notice it.

We don’t notice it because we are still focused on chasing things we don’t have instead of appreciating what we have. For instance, if you create a goal to achieve $1k and you achieve it, instead of celebrating that win, your brain automatically thinks of a way to increase the stake higher because we as humans are greedy by nature. We put ourselves in this constant state of discomfort to achieve our goals, after achieving the goal, we create bigger goals that leads to bigger discomfort. After achieving $1k we move to wanting to achieve a $10k, after that, we raise the stake higher. When you raise the stake higher and you don’t achieve the higher goal, we start acting disappointed forgetting other goals we have achieved.

In a nutshell, in terms of struggle it doesn’t get better, it gets bigger. We see ourselves having $1k problem to having $10k problems, because over time we have grown and so has our problems. When you start having $10k problems, you will realize that you don’t get bother by $1k problems, we find out that we can easily sort that out. When we finally outgrow solving the $10k problem, we find ourselves raising the stake higher and start finding $20k problem and above to sort.
