This Is How You Set Your MetaMask For Polygon(Matic Network)
Yesterday, I got a very beautiful limited NFT art called Abstrax from GenArt.Ai. It’s listed on opensea market place. Open sea is an Ethereum market place for NFTs. But the Abstrax Art was minted on the polygon blockchain.
Before yesterday I never knew you could list polygon minted NFTs on Opensea. Apparently people prefer to mint on polygon because the fees are extremely low compared to that of Ethereum then list on opensea for an ETH price.
With the polygon protocol network it can allow users connect their NFTs with ETHERIUM compatible blockchain networks. I never knew this not until yesterday when I was about to list my Abstrax Art on the Opensea.
Well I use a mobile phone so most of my explanations are going to be based on mobile experience.
While trying to list it I was asked to change my RPC to that of polygon mainnet. I was confused so I went on YouTube to check it out. I’m used to using trust wallet for most of my DEX stuff so using MetaMask is so new for me. But then, life is all about learning.
YouTube said I needed to switch from Ethereum Mainnet to that of Matic Mainnet. This sounded gibberish to me because I went to my wallet. Clicked on the Wallet at the top centre, but didn’t see Matic Mainnet. Then I checked another video and it talked on how I was supposed to set the Matic Mainnet Network myself.
All you need to do is go to settings.
Go to Networks:
From the image you can see I have the Matic Mainnet because I have set it. But if it’s not set on your own, click on on “Add Network”
A blank page will appear like this.
All you need to do is input all the information in this image on your own network to set up the Matic Mainnet.
