Before I found Hive, I had to quit my job, I didn’t quit my job because I found Hive. I quit my job because I felt that wasn’t my place and left. But before I left, my boss called me and gave a lot of advice, trying to convince me stay, I had made up my mind already so what he had to say was irrelevant to me. But I wanted to give him that last minute of respect and listen. His question before I left was “what do you intend to do with your life now that you have decided to quit”. My reply was, “I don’t know, but I will figure it out”.

This is the story of my life, I am always trying to figure my life out. It’s like a super power that I have, I always figure my life out. Life puts me in a way that I always end up figuring it out. I guess I can give credit to my independent attitude. I found Hive on my own by reading post about blogging. I will call that a very great opportunity but let’s hypothetically say I never found Hive, what would my life be like without Hive.

Hive has taught me a lot, in terms of reading, having different opinions and ideas were gotten from reading a lot of post here on Hive. I found my ways of reasoning change and I saw myself socialize more. Before Hive, social media and being active on it was not an option for me. I will stay months and years on Twitter without tweeting, the only thing I do is like and retweet. But all that changed when I joined Hive.

So after quitting my job, I had no idea of what I wanted to do with my life, but before quitting, my sister has been trying to get me to join her in her hustle. My sister is an interior decorator, who loves her job so much because she doesn’t work for anybody. So she is her own boss, she always wanted me to join her so we can make money together. I didn’t want to, because that wasn’t my passion. But we had decided that if nothing works out I will join her in doing that or start a drop shipping business.

I know I would have chosen dropshipping because I always love working on my phone or computer. I’m the type that loves working from home even before Covid-19 pandemic lockdown made people realize the beauty of working from home and how unnecessary leaving your house to work is. Before the pandemic I have always wanted to work from home, I wanted that convenience of making money on my own terms and my own time.

So hypothetically am sure I would have gone into dropshipping business. Before I joined Hive, my knowledge in crypto was really little, I only about buying and selling of coins. I didn’t know about NFTs or DEFIs, Hive taught me about all these things after reading a lot of blogs about them. So am sure that my knowledge about crypto and DEFIs won’t be where it is without Hive.

Before Hive I thought of searching for a job to fund my dropshipping business. Dropshipping comes with spending a lot of money on Facebook adverts. Aside that, I need to pay monthly subscription for a dropshipping service from Shopify, so I needed a job to help me generate money to be able to afford my Shopify monthly subscription and pay for my Facebook adverts. So let’s say hypothetically, I didn’t join Hive, I would have spent my time searching for a means to get money to fund my dropshipping business.

I also planned on doing it with my friends, this way we get to contribute money together for the dropshipping, so we can all share the profit and also share the loss. My presence on social media would have been just as it used to be, which is dry and deserted. Hypothetically speaking, let’s say that my friends joined me in my dropshipping idea and we started it. I think we would go far in it, this is because I had great passion for dropshipping, I still do. My passion for dropshipping was so much that I reached out to someone to build an e-commerce website for me, his charwas so high, I went on YouTube and started watching videos on how to build a site.

I went really far into building the site, this showed me how much someone can achieve when they put their minds into something. So am sure my friends and I would have done great in that part.
