Like I have said so many times, crypto scammers and hackers are always quick to jump on the current trend to utilize it to scam their victims. When Aptos airdrop happened we were constantly seeing post on “if you missed the Aptos airdrop, do this to get the next airdrop”. It’s very easy to do that, because, people are very gullible, especially when it’s relating to money. People love free money, as a matter of fact, everyone loves free money, and no one likes the feeling of missing out. It’s so satisfying when people are celebrating a win and you are amongst them. But the missed out feeling of not being among the people who were fortunate enough to receive money can feel intimidating.
This is one of the reasons people fall for the bait of “if you missed X AirDrop join Y so you don’t miss the airdrop”. Few days ago the Bonk airdrop was trending, where some people were fortunate enough to had gotten Bonk Airdrop for holding some Solana NFTs. Trust scammers to jump on the trend to take advantage of the opportunity to scam people. They use the sentence, “if you missed the Bonk airdrop, then get X AirDrop by following the account, retweeting and tagging 2 or more friends.” Some of them put a Google form link which has space to fill your information.
They are not giving any airdrop, they don’t care about any airdrop they only care about gaining massive followers on Twitter and getting more people into their discord. This is the latest scamming trend, it’s every where, giving people false hope, while trying to gain followers. Be careful, try not to give out any vital information about yourself.
