Happy Birthday To @readthisplease: Splinterlands Card Giveaway

I’m so excited to be celebrating my birthday here on Hive, it’s been a great adventure here on Hive as I have received the most overwhelming love from the community. This birthday is special because for the first time in a long time am actually excited about my birthday. Thanks to my amazing friends on Hive and outside Hive, you have truly made my experience on Hive great. I am amazed by the amount of crypto knowledge I have learnt from this community and also the amount of information I have gained. I am truly grateful for all of you and what you do on Hive.

Grateful for this year, because this year will be the second year I will be celebrating my birthday with a birthday cake. After my parents separation, I started living with my grandmother, because I spent most of my childhood with my grandmother, I never celebrated my birthday with cake. My grandma was not so into the modern lifestyle, so cake celebration was not her thing. So I decided that when I finish university I will start celebrating my birthdays with cakes. No matter how broke I am during my birthdays I must reserve money to buy a cake.

I always forgot my birthdays when I was a kid living with my grandma, my neighbors were kind enough to remember my birthday then try so hard to make my birthdays special. I was going through some old photos and I came across a birthday celebration my neighbors organized for me. This just takes me back to old memories and my early age money valuations. I was a young kid that knew the value of money at an early age. 😂 My Dad was really proud of me but at the same time he was scared. He was so scared that my knowledge of money and it’s value at an early age might make me do things I might regret in life.

My birthday always come after the festive season that is January 5th, and during the festive season, I get money from my uncles and aunties who came to the village to spend time with me and my grandma when I was a kid. So whenever they leave after the new year, they give me money, this money I save them, so I can buy something to celebrate my birthday. I remember being able to afford those things on the table because I really wanted to make my friends happy. I was nine when I got everything here, and that was my proudest. The act made me feel independent that I can actually pay for my stuff. For years, whenever I show anyone this picture I was conclude it with “I paid for everything on the table”, that’s just how proud of myself I was.

My wish for my birthday is more opportunities and the strength and ability of doing what am doing on Hive. I love Hive so much and I love onboarding new hivers. I’m grateful for the amount of Hivers I have onboarded, I hope to onboard more but most importantly am grateful for the onboarded Hivers that are taking Hive seriously.

I am grateful for the proof of brain, OCD, the Leofinance and other communities on Hive that have come through for me on Hive by upvoting and commenting on my post.

Well the year is still fresh, but let me use this opportunity to say positive things about what my crypto goal should be and look forward to accomplishing that. I hope that before this year runs out I will have 20K Hive Power, while hoping for 20K Hive Power, My Leo Power Should be close to 20k Or at least slightly higher. As for my rest tokens I don’t want to expect too much from it, I will just keep accumulating without keeping records.
