I didn't even know that this book was being adapted into a movie. "Where the Crawdads Sing" by Delia Owens is a New York Times Best Seller and just a really unique book. It is a historical novel, a story about growing up, a story about nature, a love story and a crime story all rolled into one. Even though the book came out in 2018 it still sells pretty well as it is a diamond among all of the endless amount of mediocre books that are being published.
I know I am usually excited only for big blockbusters, but I am looking forward to see how this book will be adapted. From the trailer it looks almost like a loyal depiction of the book. It won't be a blockbuster and probably not an Oscar nominee, but maybe it will be a special movie, like it is such a special book.
