Amidst the lush green foliage, my eyes happened to spot a detached dart butterfly resting calmly on a leaf. I slowly moved closer, but just as I reached a near distance, the butterfly flew off. I stood still, watching where it went; it paused briefly at a new spot before returning to the very place I had first seen it. Once it seemed settled, I aimed my phone camera at it. Although it appeared quite calm, I decided against moving any closer and took the photo from a slightly greater distance.
The butterfly was small, yet the colors adorning its body were striking. A brownish-orange blended beautifully with irregular black spots a harmonious color combination that created a remarkable effect against the surroundings. Its colors exuded a sense of warmth and natural beauty amidst the lush greenery. The palette appeared simple and understated not flashy at all yet possessed a strong character, particularly due to those irregular patterns. Upon closer inspection, the butterfly’s coloring resembled a interplay of light and shadow: the brownish-orange representing light, and the irregular black spots representing shadow.
