Chapter 9
Jamie and Steven retreated into the living room and looking
around, Steven decided it best to fix a fire. Jamie went to the
old record player and put on a soft melody and as she passed
by Steven, he grabbed her and pulled her close.
“Where do you think you are going, my love?”
“I was going to freshen up a bit and then come and sit by the
fire with you, Silly.” She laughed. Jamie was amazed at how easy
it was to laugh with Steven. She had just made the worst realization
of her life and yet, she still felt like she could be happy with this man.
Steven let her go and she retreated to the bathroom and then onto the
bedroom. When returning to the living room, Jamie saw Steven sitting
on the old deer skin rug, smiling at her as though he had just won a big
prize.
“See something you like?” Jamie arched an eyebrow in Steven’s direction.
“Well, that depends, what do you have on underneath that robe?”
“Wouldn’t you like to know, Mr. Mercury?”
Jamie giggled and Steven arose and wrapped his arms around her.
“If anything were to happen to you, I think I would be forced to give up
on this life. It seems so unbelievable to me how quickly we came together.
I know neither of us wanted this, but I wouldn’t want it any other way.”
“You sound like you are about to propose, Hun.”
“Would that be such a bad thing?”
“You still want me even after all that we have just found out?
I mean, I don’t even feel like the same person I was just this morning.”
“That means nothing at all to me. I didn’t fall in love with you for
your name, or who your family is,” Steven said kissing Jamie’s
forehead, “I fell in love with you, for you. You are so sweet,
beautiful, smart, funny, and great at love making.”
“You are such a typical guy,” Jamie said as she gave Steven
a slap on the arm.
“So you would like me to do something that a typical guy
wouldn’t do, huh?”
“Why, yes, now that you mention it, I wouldn’t argue with that.”
Jamie reached to undo her robe.
“Oh no you don’t, removing your clothing is my job, down to
the last sock!” Steven grabbed the ties on Jamie’s robe and pulled
them, allowing the robe to fall to the floor. Jamie stood naked before
Steven and she almost felt a sense of embarrassment. Being exposed
in this way made her think about her situation and how she had let
herself believe in James and the father figure he had been in her life.
She shook off the feeling though and allowed Steven to take in the view.
“You know, I have been in a few relationships in the past, but none
of the girls were as pretty as you.”
“You are too much sometimes, you know that, right?” Jamie laughed.
“Just being honest, Hun.” With that said Steven took Jamie’s hand
and led her over to the fire.
“Has this rug been used for other purposes before?” Steven arched an eyebrow.
“No, I have only ever had one guy here and that turned out to be a total bust.”
“Give me his name and I will make him pay for not appreciating such beauty.”
“Ah, he’s not worth the trouble. He is the reason, however, that
I have chosen to put so much focus into my work. I always thought
that relationships were a waste of time, a distraction, if you will.”
“Well, then, Miss Conway, may I distract you for a while?”
“You may, Mr. Mercury.”
Steven pulled Jamie close and kissed her long and hard.
Then he guided her hands to his shirt and encouraged her to
undress him. It didn’t take long for them both to be standing
naked together in front of the fire. Steven ushered Jamie to
lie down on the rug and then, Steven crawled on top of Jamie
and started to rub his erection on her sex, making her sigh. He
then gave her a delicious look and kissed his way down to the
very area that held her longing. He started with inserting one
finger and then two into her until she moaned for more. Bringing
his mouth down on her and inserting his tongue; sprang into motion
sensation after sensation and Jamie spread her legs apart even
further, one on each of Steven’s shoulders, and ran her fingers through
Steven’s hair as he played his delicious game. Right before she
came, he backed off and came back up to her, kissing her hard and
allowing her to taste her salty sweetness. He then filled her with his erection
and rocked her hard until they both came. He didn’t pull out this time.
He wanted to claim her as his and this was one way for him to do that.
They continued to make love until they both fell asleep, sated, in front
of the crackling fire place. No tension, no worries, and no idea of what
the next day would bring; a night holding a hope of new beginnings
and finding answers.
