I got fascinated with the psychology of colors and decided to add some actual logos to this post.

I thought I would check out some logos and see if we thought the company's choice of color was a wise one. I expect a lot of comments with your opinions. Thank You

Using the right colors will help your customers KNOW, LIKE, and TRUST you, Having the right color scheme builds customer trust and gives them a positive feeling about you.

Let's look at the psychology of colors

RED

Red grabs your attention and creates strong emotion. Red makes you want to take action. Red signifies

energy
power
passion
courage

Use red to portray speed or strength for your business. Here are some red logos. Do you think they are appropriate?

Orange

Happiness and optimism are identified with orange. Orange is a fun color. You can use orange to show you like to have fun and are not too serious. Are these "FUN" companies?

Yellow

Yellow is bright and sunny. People feel joy and happiness from yellow. Mr. Positivity, bradleyarrow@bradleyarrow, commented on the original post with only a block of yellow. Maybe the most appropriate comment ever. Here are some yellow logos. I could not find any all yellow logos (not surprising). Do you think yellow fits these companies?

Green

Makes people think of nature. It works well for health or eco-friendly businesses. These green logos maybe the easiest to agree on there color. What do you think?

Would you consider Subway a green logo os a yellow log?

Blue

People trust blue. It is liked everywhere. Blue can be used on almost any site because of its versatility. Think of a blue logo. Here are some blue logos. Is the color appropriate for the company?

Purple

Purple portrays royalty. Also, wisdom, confidence, and creativity are associated with purple. Purple grabs peoples' attention. Purple can make you stand out. What other color could Purple have? How about the other companies?

Pink

Pink is associated with femininity (no surprise). It is also associated with enthusiasm and creativity. It represents hope and can reduce anger and pain with comforting feelings. Another company with an obvious logo color, PINK. I don't get T Mobile. Do you?

Brown

Brown is earthy. People associate brown with wholesomeness and warmth. It works great with vintage themes and relates durability, safety, and reliability. If you want to be considered reliable use brown like UPS.How about the other companies? Is brown appropriate?

Black

Black is associated with high-priced brands because it symbolizes high quality. Black is minimalistic and combines well with other colors.

White

White is also minimalistic and represents purity. It is usually combined with another color. What white logo pops into your mind? It's Nike for me. While I was searching for logos, I really could find any I would consider white. I even found 1 place that showed the like logo as black. What color is Nike's logo?

Gray

If you want to show maturity and authority, gray is your color. Gray is a serious color. Law firms use a lot of grays. Here are a few gray logos I found. What do you think?

Here is an interesting comment I found ou lucidpress.com

While color has the power to affect people's moods, choosing your brand colors shouldn't be based on emotional response alone. As Emma Foley of Clinique says, "There's so much more that goes into a brand than a logo and color." Once you understand your brand's customers and values, you can create a brand color palette that speaks to them.
