We are planning effective efforts to control the various forms of pollution prevailing all over the world, but the process is too slow or tilted towards vested interests. We hope to make people aware of the framework to implement the most necessary steps to protect and preserve the environment in the future. The world is going through a chaotic race of development, which has contributed to the spread of pollution, has contributed to the pollution of our land, water, and air, and has spoiled the climate everywhere.
The lockdown, which resulted in the closure of everything everywhere, has shown us the environment has had an ample opportunity to revive. Because of lockdown, people have gotten a lot of relief from all kinds of pollution, but the important question to consider is whether we need a permanent lockdown to save our environment. That is not possible, isn’t it? But the environment still needs our attention.
Now the question is how to save the environment and maintain the situation in the future that we saw during lockdown. We should all view it as a challenge and accept responsibility for it. It’s time to take care of the polluted environment, which is still deteriorating.
Today, the way we are using modern technology without thinking about its side effects in a chaotic manner will not help it. Today, the exploitation of natural resources and the environment is a major challenge. The rules favor vested interests in order to reduce expenditure with the sole aim of earning a maximum profit. The thinking that ignores the rules of pollution control laws is a major hindrance to reducing pollution. Today, our system is tilted heavily towards industry, which clearly exploits our natural resources. The system works for the industries that openly pollute land, water, and air despite all the rules in place .
Today, the situation looks grim for environmental protection, and this problem is in the knowledge of policymakers and environmentalists throughout the entire world. If the deadly pollution caused by humans is not immediately controlled, the situation will deteriorate further. Trust me, the situation will get worse with every passing day. If this situation continues, potable water, clean air to breathe, and chemical-free soil could be a thing of the past in many places in the country.
Even today, after such a dreadful situation of pollution everywhere in the world, barring a few wise countries, there is a very strong need to act immediately. We need proper compliance with the rules and regulations regarding environmental protection the world over. To keep pollution and the environment under serious control, we need a stronger global body.
Despite the rapidly increasing level of pollution, no effective control is in place in everyday practice on this issue of environmental protection. Today we all have to understand that environmental protection is important and we cannot limit our role to speeches on ‘World Environment Day’, watching films, or writing and reading books or articles, but we have to understand our responsibility towards the earth with all our hearts and minds.
In the future, some concrete effects of pollution control will be visible on the surface. I must admit, except for a few people, there is no seriousness visible in any of the concerned environmental authorities.
The weather conditions are deteriorating year after year only because of our mistakes. So what we saw during the lockdown should be an eye-opener. Within a few months, we witnessed a huge reduction in pollution in water, air, and land that surprised all the experts.
If we need clean rivers, water sources, clean air, clear blue stars, and twinkling skies, let’s work together and send a very important message to all that this situation is man-made. And we should take the matter on a priority basis to reduce land, water, air and noise pollution wherever we are. And we all have to work for environmental protection. We have to use natural resources wisely and carefully.
