Ah, finally... the much awaited Weekly Challenge is here again. And this time round we have the tiny little ants, Ant Miners!
Ant Miners is a card which I really love, for pretty much no particular reason. I just love it for its "scavenger" ability, whereby any death in monsters regardless yours or your opponents, will allow the Ant Miner to gain its max HP by 1. So theoretically if the game can stretch, then the Ant Miner's health theoretically will just go higher and higher as the game proceeds. Yes, but not entirely right too.... At low levels, Ant Miner is really really, squishy....
Honestly speaking, I played many many matches just to get this winning match out, many...
So here we go, the line up!

Initially looking at the opponent's Summoner, I thought this was a gone case. The dreaded Mylor Crowling, along with my full melee damage lineup, I initially thought that this would be a massacre. But surprise surprise, thankfully my lineup is full of monsters with high HP, damage and Armor, I managed to survive a tat longer and wipe out my opponent's main damage dealer pretty quickly.
With my monsters dealing a high amount of damage coupled with the match condition of "opportunity", it allows my lineup to wipe out their weaker monsters relatively quickly. Also coupled with the fact that the higher the damage output, the lesser the frequency of my monsters attacking thus the effects of the opponent's Mylor Crowling is minimised! Although this article supposed to be a feature on Ant Miner, unfortunately Ant Miner did not contribute much to this battle. My initial intention was to have Ant Miner in the middle and slightly closer to the rear, so as to maximise his "Scavenger" ability. However, nope.... it did not work out as planned...
Thankfully, the high damage output was able to salvage the day coupled with the fact that I placed all my higher "survivability" monsters closer to the front, and that is how I manage to win this battle. Yes, that is my strategy, but I would say it is more of a coincidental stroke of luck! On the contrary, I would wish to give compliments to the opponent @crispybacon05 , not sure if this is you. Theoretically with the "Lost Magic" match condition (whereby magic monsters cannot be used), players are forced to use melee and ranged monsters only. With ranged monsters unable to attack when placed in the first position, many will tend to fill their lineups with melee monsters. As such, having a Mylor Cowling summoner for this battle is absolutely brilliant. I am not sure if I have tagged the right opponent, but if you are seeing this, well done my friend! I would say, I won this through a stroke of luck. In this battle, I felt that my opponent was clearly a battle strategist.
As much as I love this card, I unfortunately will very unlikely be fielding him in my lineup, at least not with the level 1 Ant Miner that I have.
I am really new to this blogging but I will do my best, so any form of follows or upvotes will be really appreciated! And of course, reshared this on my twitter (@Rayius5)!
