Alright, lands are being surveyed and I have been seeing tons of this process on Youtube Channels as well as forums. I am so excited as I have 2 plots of land! Problem is, I have yet to surveyed them because I need the boosts to be on!

Now, prior to surveying your lands, there is an option to get some boost! So we have 3 kinds,

1. Building In A Box
2. Time Vault
3. Unstable Totem

So I have NOT done much research, but I am intending to get both Building In A Box, and Time Vault. That would be 10,000 DEC each. With 2 plots of Land, I would require a total of 40,000 DEC. So moving forward, my Land Progress would be to blog on my route to hitting 40,000 DEC, so that I may finally survey my lands!

Building In A Box

So I managed to get quite a fair bit of information here.
https://splinterlands.gitbook.io/the-secret-of-praetoria/phase-1-surveying/starter-packages

Now the website says that
"The Building in a Box package allows the purchaser to begin construction of a level 1 building on a single land plot without having to pay any DEC or other resources which would normally be required to begin construction of a building. This will only be applicable in phase 2 as phase 1.5 will not include any building construction.
The Building in a Box package will additionally include a free Power Source, which will be able to be used in phase 1.5. For more information please see the Power Sources section of this document.
Please note that it will still take the normal amount of time for the construction of the level 1 building to be completed, and worker cards will still be needed to be staked on the land plot in order to perform the construction. This package simply eliminates the resource cost to begin the upgrade."

TLDR

Resources are required to build buildings. These resources require time to gather. With Building In A Box, you are immediately supplied with all these resources, therefore Building In A Box, cause all the required materials/resources are packed nicely for you in a box.

And with that, this is my journey thus far
