Morse Code

Nope, I am not drunk, at least not yet! So yea, today let us talk about Morse Code! For those who are seeing it for the first time, what is a morse code?

So from open public intelligence states that "The term Morse Code refers to either of two systems for representing letters of the alphabet, numerals, and punctuation marks by an arrangement of dots, dashes, and spaces. The codes are transmitted as electrical pulses of varied lengths or analogous mechanical or visual signals, such as flashing lights."

Basically, morse code is like the key essentials, bread and butter of an aviator or a sailor. We use morse codes for transponders, or even visual. This is super important for us.

In wartime, encrypted codes comes in. Think of it as an upgraded version of Morse Code, whereby only your allies have the cipher for you to make the right translation to decipher the codes. Communications is key in a war, but let us not go there today.

Now bringing back to music and sound, for those of you who are like me, who have lived to see the Nokia phone, you would definitely hear the SMS ringtone

So basically, the tone seems to be truncated into three portions. And for the three portions, each portion stands for an alphabet. S - M - S

So actually, you have been hearing morse code all these while, just that you did not realise it! Cool right?
