I believe that the Qur’an (the original text free of diacritic marks and other accretions) is from God. I am persuaded on the basis of evidence that he has protected that text.
That religion has its roots in history, politics and culture, not in revelation.
However, I believe its contents have been systematically misrepresented for over 1,000 years in order to imply support for a religion which is absent from the Qur’an.
