Hello everyone, welcome to my blog. I am back with a new topic. So, the most overrated luxuries thing I see is spending a huge amount of money on branded stuffs such as clothes and designer bags. I feel people think that they need these things to prove that they are successful or to show off.
My question is, "Why do they even buy those things?" Does our attire really increase our status? I don't think so, if someone's personality isn't good and they are not a good person I don't think a designer bag or clothes could hide that. I would buy anything that looks good, I don't think it has to be from a well known brand. We buy different type of clothes because we want to look good sometimes for ourselves and sometimes for someone else. But I think it's a foolish thing to buy a bag for 50k or 1lac taka. You can get a good quality bag around 5k to 10k taka, you don't need over pay to get a exclusive looking bag. What's in with the name? It will fade someday and another brand will come up after that. Do you want to continue to keep switching?
I don't think that's what an wise person would do. We are only giving them profits not only that, I would say it's extra profits. Even whenever celebrities wear those branded clothes I have seen fans going crazy to buy it. But I think it's insane just because your favourite celebrity brought it, doesn't mean you have to get it too. I don't understand these obsession of people, glorifying someone more than themselves.
I believe people will remember how I was as a person and how well I treated them. Not the name written on my clothes or bags. To me, real luxury is having peace of mind and staying happy and most importantly spend money wisely. Any good looking clothes or bags are enough for me. I don't need a famous name attached to it.
